Yonkers store-owner Horace Vandergelder (Scott Coon, Brookville) has arranged for a matchmaker to find a wife for himself.

Dolly Levi (Kristin Whitlock, Franklin), the matchmaker, has arranged for Horace to meet Mrs. Irene Molloy (Julie Beebe, New Carlisle), a New York City hat maker, even though she secretly intends to marry him herself. However, Horace surprises Dolly when he announces he is leaving for New York City in order to propose marriage to Mrs. Molloy. Dolly hastily invents another woman and convinces Horace to not propose to Mrs. Molloy yet, but to meet this new woman at a New York restaurant that evening.

The play turns to utter pandemonium as everyone tries to sort out identities and relationships. Yet, somehow Dolly maneuvers through it all, bringing everything to a happy, albeit hysterical, end. Rounding out the cast is G. Michael Robinson (Fairborn), Kathy DeVorah (Lewisburg), Joyce Rowland (Phillipsburg), Casey Dillon (Lewisburg), Dylan Lujano (Brookville), Janett Wilges (Phillipsburg), Teryn Barker (Trotwood), O.J. Gonnella (West Alexandria), Trevon Rhoads (Brookville), Erin R. Ryan (Centerville) and Lydia Eva Domsitz (Brookville).
